Position: Accounting Clerk
This is a Full-time entry level position with potential for growth and expansion within our organization. The Accounting Clerk provides support for the accounting, finance, and sales departments.
This role will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Performing basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, filing, clerical items and interoffice support.
Bookkeeping and general accounting
Creating and maintaining spreadsheets
Recording information, processing, and filing forms
Preparing checks, processing invoices, matching invoices with POs.
Maintaining accounts payable, researching, and resolving discrepancies
Abiding by all company procedures and accounting principles
Responding appropriately to vendor, client, and internal requests
Assisting the Accounting Manager in the support and management of accounts
General Requirements for Employment:
Ability to understand the principles and procedures of bookkeeping and record-keeping
Accuracy in accounting and data entry
Knowledge of business-level English, both verbal and written
Pass a pre-employment drug test
Have reliable transportation
Ability to work Monday thru Friday along with occasional overtime as necessary such as extended workdays and/or weekends
Strong background in business administration
Great time management and prioritizing skills along with attention to detail
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting procedures and principles.
Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial information
Organizational and communication skills
Ability to sit or stand, for long periods
Able to work in a fast-paced growing business environment
Bilingual is a plus
Computer literacy and strong typing skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and QuickBooks is preferred
Able to follow safety policies and procedures
Pay Rate: DOE
